NAMASKAR" - Meaning and Benefits You Never Knew
The word 'Namaskar' is derived from the root 'namaha', which means paying obeisance (Namaskar) or salutation. From Science of Justice - 'Namaha' is a physical action expressing that 'you are superior to me in all qualities and in every way'..
Worldly Benefits - By doing Namaskar to a deity or a Saint, unknowingly their virtues and capabilities are impressed upon our minds. Consequently we start emulating them, thus changing ourselves for the better.
Spiritual Benefits - Increase in humility and reduction of ego / Enhancement in the spiritual emotion of surrender and gratitude / Gaining the Sattva component and faster spiritual progress. We receive the highest amount of Sattva component from the posture (mudra) of Namaskar. By doing Namaskar to Deities or Saints we receive subtle frequencies emitted by them, e.g. Frequencies of Sattva or Bliss.
How does one do Namaskar to an individual of the same age group?
When meeting someone of the same age-group do Namaskar by joining the fingers and placing tips of the thumbs on the Anahat chakra (at the centre of the chest). This type of Namaskarincreases the spiritual emotion of humility in the embodied soul. Sattva frequencies from the universe are attracted by the fingers (which act as an antenna) and are then transmitted to the entire body through the thumbs which have awakened the Anahat chakra. This activates the soul energy of the embodied soul. In addition, by doing Namaskar in this manner to each other, frequencies of blessings are also transmitted.
What is correct method & science of doing Namaskar to God?
A. 'While paying obeisance to God, bring the palms together.
1. The fingers should be held loose (not straight and rigid) while joining the hands or palms.
2. The fingers should be kept close to each other without leaving any space between them.
3. The fingers should be kept away from the thumbs.
4. The inner portion of the palms should not touch each other and there should be some space between them.
Note: The stage of awakening of spiritual emotion (Bhav) is important to the seeker at the primary level. Hence, for awakening spiritual emotion (Bhav), he should keep space in between the joined hands, whereas a seeker who is at the advanced level should refrain from leaving such space in between the palms to awaken the unexpressed spiritual emotion (Bhav).
B. After joining the hands one should bow and bring the head forward..
C. While tilting the headforward, one should place the thumbs at the mid-brow region, I.e. At the point between the eyebrows and try to concentrate on the feet of the Deity.
D. After that, instead of bringing the folded hands down immediately, they should be placed on the mid-chest region for a minute in such way that the wrists touch the chest; then only should the hands be brought down.
Underlying Science in this action
A. The fingers should not be stiff while bringing the palms together because this will lead to a decrease in Sattva component from the vital and mental sheaths and thus increase the raja component in them. By keeping the fingers relaxed, the subtlest Sattva component will get activated. With the strength of this energy, embodied souls are able to fight powerful distressing energies.
B. In the Namaskar posture, the joined fingers act as an antenna to assimilate the Chaitanya (Divine consciousness) or the Energy transmitted by a Deity. While joining the palms, the fingers must touch each other because leaving space between the fingers will result in accumulation of energy in that space. This energy will be immediately transmitted in various directions; therefore the seeker's body will lose the benefit of this potent energy.
C. About the space to be maintained between the palms:
For a seeker at the primary level, it is advisable to leave space between the palms; it is not necessary for a seeker at an advanced level to leave space between the palms.
D. After joining the palms, bow a little. This posture puts pressure on the navel and activates the five vital energies situated there. Activation of these vital energies in the body makes it sensitive to accepting sattvik frequencies. This later awakens the 'Atma shakti' (I.e. Soul energy of an embodied soul). And later, Bhav is awakened. This enables the body to accept in large measures the Chaitanya emitted by the Deity.
E. Touch the thumbs to the mid-brow region. (Please see images above..) This posture awakens the Bhav of surrender in an embodied soul, and in turn activates the appropriate subtle frequencies of Deities from the Universe. They enter through the ’Adnya chakra’ (Sixth of the 7 chakras in the Kundalini) of the embodied soul and settle in the space parallel to it at the back interior of the head. In this space the openings to all the three channels converge; namely, the Moon, the Central and the Sun channels. Due to the movement of these subtler frequencies in this space, the Central Channel is activated. Consequently it facilitates the speedy transmission of these frequencies throughout the body, leading to purification of both the gross and subtle bodies at the same time.

Effect of this Posture
By doing Namaskar in this manner, the Deity's Chaitanya is absorbed to a greater extent by the body, as compared to other methods of doing Namaskar. This gives maximum distress to negative energies. The negative energies that have manifested in a person are unable to touch their thumbs at the mid-brow region in Namaskar. (The negative energies are subtle. Q. What is the reason for not wrapping a cloth around the neck while performing circumambulation, doing Namaskar, ritualistic worship, sacrificial fires, chanting and while visiting Guru and deities?
A. When a cloth is wrapped around the neck, it does not activate the Vishuddha chakra (in the throat region) and hence an individual gets less benefit of the Sattva component.
Why should one always do Namaskar to elders?
Meaning: When an elderly person arrives, the vital energy of the young person starts rising and when he gets up and does Namaskar, it returns to normal. - Manusmruti 2.120; Mahabharat, Udhyog, Chapter (Section) 38.1, Sr. no. 104, 64-65
Explanation: 'As the sojourn of the elderly person is gradually towards the southern direction, that is, towards the region of Lord Yama (towards death), his body starts emitting raja and tama frequencies on a high scale. When such an elderly person comes in the vicinity of any younger individual, these frequencies start affecting the younger person. A subtle magnetic field is created between the two. Consequently, the vital energy of the younger person is pulled upward. This way the younger person can suffer due to sudden momentum to his vital energy. When this younger person doesNamaskar to the elderly person, some amount of the Central channel of his Kundalini system is activated and the Sattva component in it starts increasing. Consequently the raja and tama components in him are influenced by the Sattva component and the vital energy comes back to normal state. Hence on arrival of an elderly person, it is customary for the younger individuals to do Namaskar to them.'
Doing Namaskar to Elders..
When travelling, prior to the commencement of a journey and upon returning, why should one do Namaskar to elders in the family?
'Namaskar to the elders in the family is one way of surrendering to the God principle in them. When an embodied soul bows in Namaskar to an elder by surrendering to the God principle in him, at that time a sense of compassion is created in his body. This compassion percolates right upto his subtle body. At that time, energy of his mind is activated and in turn activates the five vital energies, which are located at the seat of the Manipur chakra (situated in the Naval region). Transmission of these five vital energies all over the body then awakens the soul energy. With the strength of the soul energy, the Central channel gets activated and converts the expressed energy of spiritual emotion to the unexpressed energy of spiritual emotion. With the help of this unexpressed energy of spiritual emotion, the embodied soul, through the medium of elders, gains the required Deity's principle from the Universe. For this purpose, while leaving the house on a
Journey, the embodied soul should do Namaskar to elders and with the strength of Sattva frequencies has to protect himself from distressing frequencies in the atmosphere. Similarly, returning from a journey, one should immediately do Namaskar to elders and awaken the God principle in them, which would disintegrate the raja-tama particles from the air around him, which might have been brought along.
What is the correct method of doing Namaskar to Saints?
1. The portion of head, which should be placed at the feet :
We can imbibe maximum Chaitanya through the Brahmarandhra (the seventh chakra of the Kundalini system located in the crown of our head). Since it (Brahmarandhra) cannot be placed at a Saints's feet, the part of head beginning above the forehead is to be placed at the feet of Saints. Due to this, maximum Chaitanya emanating from Their feet can enter into the one doing Namaskar.
2.. The exact spot to place one's head on a Saint's feet:
The big toes of Saints emit maximum Chaitanya; hence we should place our head on the big toe, than on their foot. If we are in a position to touch both the toes, then place the head on the right big toe.
3. The position of hands when placing the head on a Saint's feet:
A. Some interlock their hands behind their backs at the waist and do Namaskar. If we are in a position to touch both their toes, then we should place the hands one on each foot and the head should be placed on the big toe of the right foot. If we are in a position to touch one of Their toes, then place both the hands on it and keep the head on the big toe.
B. Some do Namaskar by placing hands on the ground. This is also wrong because if the hands are placed on the ground then the Chaitanya emanating from the Saint's feet are absorbed by one and then returns to the earth through the hands of the one doing Namaskar. Thus the person does not benefit from it.
C. Some cross their hands and place them on the feet of Saints, that is, their right hand on the right foot of the Saint and their left hand on the left foot of the Saint while doingNamaskar. This is a crude imitation of the manner in which Christians place their crossed hands on their chest.. Instead, our right hand should be placed on the left foot of the Saint and our left hand on the right foot of the Saint. This is convenient also. However, if a Guru has started some procedure in a particular sect, then the hands are to be placed in that manner only.
D. The hands are to be positioned in such a way that the palms are placed on the feet..
How to do Namaskar to the wooden footwear (paduka) of Saints?
Namaskar to the wooden footwear (paduka) of Saints
'The left paduka symbolises Lord Shiva and the right symbolises Divine Energy. The left paduka is the unmanifest saviour energy and the right is the unmanifest destroyer energy of the Supreme God. The saviour or destroyer energy of the Supreme God emanates from the 'pegs' of the paduka as per the need. When we do Namaskar by placing our head on the 'pegs' of the paduka, some may experience distress due to the inability to tolerate the manifest energy emitting from it. Hence, while doing Namaskar to the paduka, instead of the pegs, place the head on the foremost part i.e. The place where the Saints place their toes.'
Should one do Namaskar to a dead body?
Q. If this be so, should we do Namaskar to the dead bodies in Kaliyuga only as a custom? If it is a custom, can we discontinue it?
A. One can maintain respect for the dead person by doing Namaskar and in addition set an ideal with regards to respecting elders. In Kaliyuga, from this one will benefit at an emotional level and not at a spiritual level. However, one should not discontinue this custom; instead one could learn how to get spiritual benefit from it. Due to the deterioration of the Sattva component in embodied souls, this practice has become a mere custom in Kaliyuga.
However, as per the saying, 'God exists where there is spiritual emotion', while doing Namaskar to a dead body if we have a spiritual emotion that we are doing Namaskar to the God principle in it, then the God principle in the dead body awakens and we receive God's blessings. This happens because the God principle is immortal and has no limitations that a physical body has.
Q. It is said that one should not do Namaskar to a sleeping person. In Kaliyuga if one does Namaskar by touching the dead body, then are the chances of getting distress from negative energies not higher?
A. Yes it is; but while doing Namaskar it is important that the action be performed with correct spiritual emotion. Since Namaskar is done to the God principle in the dead body instead of activating raja, tama components, it activates the Godly principle in the dead body and bestows Sattva corresponding to the degree of spiritual emotion.'
'One hand' touch to the Temple Steps
Action: Touch step with fingers of right hand & move same hand over head.
Science: 'The area around the temple is charged with frequencies of Deities which leads to an increase in the Sattva component. The presence of Divine consciousness in the area charges even the stairs in a temple. 'Climbing' steps is one of the activities, which increases the raja component in the body. Hence, the raja component is already activated in the body of an embodied soul so by touching the steps with the fingers of the right hand, the Sattva component and peace from the charged premise, get transmitted to the body through the right hand. In addition, from this action, the activated raja component in the body can be controlled through the medium of the surya nadi (Sun channel). This means that, for a moment, the activities of the Sun channel can be stopped. From this process, the embodied soul learns to enhance the Sattva component through raja dominant actions. Therefore, it is very essential to perform the appropriate sattvik actions at each corresponding level, hence the method of touching the steps with fingers of the right hand and then moving the fingers or palm over the head. Even the dust present on the steps is charged with Chaitanya and so we must respect it and derive spiritual benefit from it.. If the embodied soul harbours the spiritual emotion that 'the Chaitanya from the steps be transmitted all over my body from the dust on my hand', then it will give increasing benefit to the embodied soul. In addition if the ego of the embodied soul is less at that time then it gives even more benefit. When any action is performed devoid of ego or 'I'ness it is treated as a 'non-action' (akarma-karma) .'
Do's and Dont's while doing Namaskar
Q. Why should the eyes be closed while doing Namaskar?
'Joining hands while bowing the head amounts to saluting God or the divinity in the person in front. The eyes are closed while doing Namaskar to God or any respected person, to enable one to have the vision of God within us.'
Q. Why should the footwear be taken off while doing Namaskar?
While sitting, partaking meals, sleeping, wishing and doing Namaskar to Gurus and other elderly people, footwear should not be worn. - Gautamsmruti 9.
1. Footwear increases the raja-tama components in a person.
2. Paying obeisance (Namaskar) with high raja-tama components will not help in activating the Kundalini (centre in the spiritual energy system).
3. The ability to absorb the sattva component too is reduced, due to an increase in the raja-tama components, leading to little benefit from a Namaskar.
4. Doing Namaskar to a Deity, with footwear on, may also invite the wrath of the Deity.’
Q. Why is it not advisable to hold any object while doing Namaskar?
1. While doing Namaskar if an object is held in the hands, usually the fingers and their tips are in a curled position and not straight. As a result, the sattva component received is unable to enter the tips of the fingers.
2.. The sattva component emitted towards the seeker, strikes the object held and bounces back. Also, at times, instead of the person absorbing the sattva component, the object may absorb it.
3. If the object in the hand is raja or tama predominant, and if it is touched to the forehead or chest while doing Namaskar, then the raja-tama components from it mayenter the body of the one who is doing Namaskar.
Q. While doing Namaskar, why are men not supposed to cover their head, whereas women are advised to cover their head?
One should not do Namaskar with footwear on, covering the head or holding any objects. (But women should cover their head with their saris and only then do Namaskar) - Apastamb Dharmasutra 1.4.14.19
While doing Namaskar the Kundalini gets activated at the chakra which is touched by the folded hands. This leads to the absorption of the Sattva component in greater proportion in the body. Sometimes due to the activation of the Kundalini, Sattva component starts entering the body through the head. But at times the distressing energies try to take advantage of this and mix black energy with the Sattva component. The potential to activate the Kundalini is higher in men as compared to women. Hence they are hardly affected by this negative energy. Contrary to this, as women are more vulnerable, they get affected by distressing energies to a greater extent and thus they can experience distress. That is why, when doing Namaskar, women are advised to cover their head with the ends of their sari. This creates a barrier between the head and the distressing energies and prevents themfrom penetrating the body of the woman. However, to some extent this also blocks
benevolent frequencies from entering the women. (Benevolent frequencies are subtler than negative frequencies; hence they enter a woman to some extent even though the sari covers her head.) However, the proper posture of Namaskar gives maximum Sattva component to an individual and hence women too get required benefits. This shows how God takes care of every devotee. Doing Namaskar without these restrictions is equally effective if the devotee does it with spiritual emotion.

A. One can maintain respect for the dead person by doing Namaskar and in addition set an ideal with regards to respecting elders. In Kaliyuga, from this one will benefit at an emotional level and not at a spiritual level. However, one should not discontinue this custom; instead one could learn how to get spiritual benefit from it. Due to the deterioration of the Sattva component in embodied souls, this practice has become a mere custom in Kaliyuga.
However, as per the saying, 'God exists where there is spiritual emotion', while doing Namaskar to a dead body if we have a spiritual emotion that we are doing Namaskar to the God principle in it, then the God principle in the dead body awakens and we receive God's blessings. This happens because the God principle is immortal and has no limitations that a physical body has.
Q. It is said that one should not do Namaskar to a sleeping person. In Kaliyuga if one does Namaskar by touching the dead body, then are the chances of getting distress from negative energies not higher?
A. Yes it is; but while doing Namaskar it is important that the action be performed with correct spiritual emotion. Since Namaskar is done to the God principle in the dead body instead of activating raja, tama components, it activates the Godly principle in the dead body and bestows Sattva corresponding to the degree of spiritual emotion.'
'One hand' touch to the Temple Steps
Action: Touch step with fingers of right hand & move same hand over head.
Science: 'The area around the temple is charged with frequencies of Deities which leads to an increase in the Sattva component. The presence of Divine consciousness in the area charges even the stairs in a temple. 'Climbing' steps is one of the activities, which increases the raja component in the body. Hence, the raja component is already activated in the body of an embodied soul so by touching the steps with the fingers of the right hand, the Sattva component and peace from the charged premise, get transmitted to the body through the right hand. In addition, from this action, the activated raja component in the body can be controlled through the medium of the surya nadi (Sun channel). This means that, for a moment, the activities of the Sun channel can be stopped. From this process, the embodied soul learns to enhance the Sattva component through raja dominant actions. Therefore, it is very essential to perform the appropriate sattvik actions at each corresponding level, hence the method of touching the steps with fingers of the right hand and then moving the fingers or palm over the head. Even the dust present on the steps is charged with Chaitanya and so we must respect it and derive spiritual benefit from it.. If the embodied soul harbours the spiritual emotion that 'the Chaitanya from the steps be transmitted all over my body from the dust on my hand', then it will give increasing benefit to the embodied soul. In addition if the ego of the embodied soul is less at that time then it gives even more benefit. When any action is performed devoid of ego or 'I'ness it is treated as a 'non-action' (akarma-karma) .'
Do's and Dont's while doing Namaskar
Q. Why should the eyes be closed while doing Namaskar?
'Joining hands while bowing the head amounts to saluting God or the divinity in the person in front. The eyes are closed while doing Namaskar to God or any respected person, to enable one to have the vision of God within us.'
Q. Why should the footwear be taken off while doing Namaskar?
While sitting, partaking meals, sleeping, wishing and doing Namaskar to Gurus and other elderly people, footwear should not be worn. - Gautamsmruti 9.
1. Footwear increases the raja-tama components in a person.
2. Paying obeisance (Namaskar) with high raja-tama components will not help in activating the Kundalini (centre in the spiritual energy system).
3. The ability to absorb the sattva component too is reduced, due to an increase in the raja-tama components, leading to little benefit from a Namaskar.
4. Doing Namaskar to a Deity, with footwear on, may also invite the wrath of the Deity.’
Q. Why is it not advisable to hold any object while doing Namaskar?
1. While doing Namaskar if an object is held in the hands, usually the fingers and their tips are in a curled position and not straight. As a result, the sattva component received is unable to enter the tips of the fingers.
2.. The sattva component emitted towards the seeker, strikes the object held and bounces back. Also, at times, instead of the person absorbing the sattva component, the object may absorb it.
3. If the object in the hand is raja or tama predominant, and if it is touched to the forehead or chest while doing Namaskar, then the raja-tama components from it mayenter the body of the one who is doing Namaskar.
Q. While doing Namaskar, why are men not supposed to cover their head, whereas women are advised to cover their head?
One should not do Namaskar with footwear on, covering the head or holding any objects. (But women should cover their head with their saris and only then do Namaskar) - Apastamb Dharmasutra 1.4.14.19
While doing Namaskar the Kundalini gets activated at the chakra which is touched by the folded hands. This leads to the absorption of the Sattva component in greater proportion in the body. Sometimes due to the activation of the Kundalini, Sattva component starts entering the body through the head. But at times the distressing energies try to take advantage of this and mix black energy with the Sattva component. The potential to activate the Kundalini is higher in men as compared to women. Hence they are hardly affected by this negative energy. Contrary to this, as women are more vulnerable, they get affected by distressing energies to a greater extent and thus they can experience distress. That is why, when doing Namaskar, women are advised to cover their head with the ends of their sari. This creates a barrier between the head and the distressing energies and prevents themfrom penetrating the body of the woman. However, to some extent this also blocks
benevolent frequencies from entering the women. (Benevolent frequencies are subtler than negative frequencies; hence they enter a woman to some extent even though the sari covers her head.) However, the proper posture of Namaskar gives maximum Sattva component to an individual and hence women too get required benefits. This shows how God takes care of every devotee. Doing Namaskar without these restrictions is equally effective if the devotee does it with spiritual emotion.

Goat Keeping is followed in arid and semi-arid regions where rainfall is less and uncertain and hence incomes from Crop Production are low and also uncertain. The goat keeping is mainly carried out as subsidiary activity (enterprise) to supplement incomes from crops. In such areas, goat keeping is an almost fully free-range type i.e. allowing goat to graze in open fields and wastelands. In addition, they are also fed some by-products of crops, which otherwise go waste.
Breeds;
There are nearly 102 breeds of goats in the world, of which 20 breeds are in India. Goats are reared for two purposes i.e. meat & milk. But meat production is the main objective. According to the purpose, following are the important breeds.
Milk and Meat (dual purpose) – Osmanabadi, Barberi, Jamnapari (U.P.) Sangamneri, Mehasa & Zalwadi (Gujarat) Beetal (Punjab), Ajmeri & Kachhi (Rajasthan).
Meat – Assam, Kali Bengali, Brown Bengali and Marwari.
Wool – Angora, Gaddhi (HP) and Pashmina (Kashmir)
Foreign Breeds :
Sannen
Anglonubian
Tonanburg &
Alpine.
Among the Indian breeds, Jamnapari is a good milk yielder and gives about 200 to 250 litres per year.
In Indian consuming market, there is very little demand for goat milk accounting for only 3.5% of the total demand for milk. However, goat meat is quite popular constituting about 35% of total meat market. Poultry meat production has been increasing quite fast and goat meat has to compete with it. As per the livestock census, goat population in Maharashtra was as under :
1987 census – 91.95 lakhs
1992 census – 99.40 lakhs
From the point of view of meat production, two parameters are important.
Growth of kids and
Kidding rate
Higher kidding rate and faster growth rate are desirable from commercial point of view. These rates are different in various breeds. Some of the normal economic characters of goats are as under:
Age of maturity – 9 to 12 months
Age at first pregnancy – 15 to 18 months
Pregnancy period – 145 to 150 days
Inter – kidding period – 8 to 9 months
Chances of twinning – 30 to 40%
Chances of triplets – 10 to 15%
Productive life – 6 to 7 years
Mortality of kids – 8 to 10 %
Mortality of adults – 5%
No. of kidding in two years – three
Male – female kids ratio – 1:1

Self-confidence gives you the freedom to make mistakes and cope with failure without feeling that your world has come to an end or that you are a wort
A business executive was deep in debt and could see no way out. Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankruptcy.
Suddenly an old man appeared before him. “I can see that something is troubling you,” he said. After listening to the executive’s woes, the old man said, “I believe I can help you.” He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, “Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time.” Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come.
The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by Warren Buffet , then one of the richest men in the world! “I can erase my money worries in an instant!” he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the un-cashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought.
With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again. Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the un- cashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.
“I’m so glad I caught him!” she cried. “I hope he hasn’t been bothering you. He’s always escaping from the rest home and telling people he’s Warren Buffet . ” And she led the old man away by the arm. The astonished executive just stood there, stunned. All year long he’d been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.
Suddenly, he realized that it wasn’t the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after.

'नेपाली सिनेमा झुर हुन्छन्, त्यसैले म नेपाली सिनेमा हेर्दै हेर्दिनँ' भन्ने युवालाई तपाईंले कुन-कुन 'झुर' नेपाली सिनेमा हेर्नुभएको छ भनेर प्रश्न गर्ने हो भने अधिकांशको उत्तर हुन्छ— मैले त कुनै पनि हेरेको छैन । यसरी नेपाली सिनेमा हेर्दै नहेरी झुर हुन्छन् भन्ने जमातलाई अभिनेता हरिवंश आचार्यले गतिलो जवाफ दिएका छन् । साँच्चै हो, नेपाली सिनेजगत् प्रविधिबाहेक कुनै पनि पक्षमा कमजोर छैन । यदि नेपाली सिनेमा साँच्चै झुर हुन्छन् भने ती सिनेमा हेर्दै नहेरी 'झुर'को छाप लगाइदिने दर्शक पनि कम झुर छैनन् ।

जनताले नयाँ संविधान निर्माण गर्न निर्वाचन गरेको संविधानसभा अहिलेे आफ्नो मूल उद्देश्य पूरा गर्नतर्फ अग्रसर नभएर सत्ता र प्रतिपक्षको रूपमा विभाजित हुँदै भिडन्तको स्थितिमा पुगेको छ । प्रतिपक्ष सडकमा पुगेर संविधान र शान्ति-सम्झौताको सुनिश्चितताका लागि भन्दै अनिश्चितकालीन आमहडतालको राजनीतिमा उत्रिएको छ । जसले गर्दा देशको सम्पूर्ण जनजीवन अस्तव्यस्त हुन पुगेको छ भने सरकार मूकदर्शक भई बसेको देखिन्छ । यस्तो राजनीतिक गतिरोध लम्बिँदै जाँदा मुलुकमा फेरि भिडन्त हुने लक्षणहरू देखिँदै छन् ।
यस्तो अवस्थामा देशका सचेत नागरिकले चुप लागेर बस्नु भनेको भिडन्तलाई मौन समर्थन गरेको ठहरिनेछ । स्मरण रहोस्, सहमति र सहकार्यबाट मात्र नयाँ संविधान निर्माण र शान्ति-सम्झौताले पूर्णता पाउनेछ भन्ने तथ्यलाई शान्ति-सम्झौताका पक्षधरहरूले मनन गरेर नै अन्तरिम संविधानको दस्ताबेज पारित गरेका थिए । त्यही संविधानअन्तर्गत संविधानसभाको चुनाव सम्पन्न भयो । अर्थात् जनताले सहमति र सहकार्य गरेर नै नयाँ संविधान निर्माण गर्ने आदेश दिएका थिए । त्यसपछि जनप्रतिनिधिहरूले संविधानसभामा उभिएर शपथ लिएको संविधानलाई कार्यान्वयन गर्ने-गराउने वेलामा ठूला राजनीतिक दलका नेताले आ-आफ्नो राजनीतिक अभीष्ट पूरा गर्न पटक-पटक संविधान संशोधन गरे । त्यसपछि क्रमशः बहुमतीय सरकार निर्माण र विघटन हुने घटना घट्दै जाँदा संविधान निर्माण गर्ने अवधिण् त्यसै बित्दै गयो । अहिले संविधानसभा विभाजित रूपमा आफ्नो अन्तिम आयु पूरा गर्ने दिनगन्तीमा छ । अब संविधान सभा र त्यसभित्रका ठूला राजनीतिक दलको वैधता र इमानदारीमा प्रश्नचिह्न उठ्नेछन् भने शान्ति-सम्झौता भंग भएर गृहयुद्धतर्फ मुलुक जाने सम्भावना देखिँदै छ ।
यस्तो भयावह राजनीतिक गतिरोध अन्त्य गर्नलाई देशका सचेत नागरिकले सक्रिय चासो लिनैपर्ने भएको छ । अन्तरिम संविधानमा बहुमतीय प्रणालीमा गएर सरकार निर्माण गर्न गरिएको संशोधनलाई खारेज गरी पुनः सहमति र सहकार्यमा फर्काउनुको विकल्प छैन भन्ने तथ्यलाई शान्ति-सम्झौताका पक्षधरहरूले महसुस गर्नैपर्छ भन्ने विराटनगरको नागरिक समाजको आग्रह छ ।

भिडन्तको जोखिमबाट देश बचाऊँ
जनताले नयाँ संविधान निर्माण गर्न निर्वाचन गरेको संविधानसभा अहिलेे आफ्नो मूल उद्देश्य पूरा गर्नतर्फ अग्रसर नभएर सत्ता र प्रतिपक्षको रूपमा विभाजित हुँदै भिडन्तको स्थितिमा पुगेको छ । प्रतिपक्ष सडकमा पुगेर संविधान र शान्ति-सम्झौताको सुनिश्चितताका लागि भन्दै अनिश्चितकालीन आमहडतालको राजनीतिमा उत्रिएको छ । जसले गर्दा देशको सम्पूर्ण जनजीवन अस्तव्यस्त हुन पुगेको छ भने सरकार मूकदर्शक भई बसेको देखिन्छ । यस्तो राजनीतिक गतिरोध लम्बिँदै जाँदा मुलुकमा फेरि भिडन्त हुने लक्षणहरू देखिँदै छन् ।
यस्तो अवस्थामा देशका सचेत नागरिकले चुप लागेर बस्नु भनेको भिडन्तलाई मौन समर्थन गरेको ठहरिनेछ । स्मरण रहोस्, सहमति र सहकार्यबाट मात्र नयाँ संविधान निर्माण र शान्ति-सम्झौताले पूर्णता पाउनेछ भन्ने तथ्यलाई शान्ति-सम्झौताका पक्षधरहरूले मनन गरेर नै अन्तरिम संविधानको दस्ताबेज पारित गरेका थिए । त्यही संविधानअन्तर्गत संविधानसभाको चुनाव सम्पन्न भयो । अर्थात् जनताले सहमति र सहकार्य गरेर नै नयाँ संविधान निर्माण गर्ने आदेश दिएका थिए । त्यसपछि जनप्रतिनिधिहरूले संविधानसभामा उभिएर शपथ लिएको संविधानलाई कार्यान्वयन गर्ने-गराउने वेलामा ठूला राजनीतिक दलका नेताले आ-आफ्नो राजनीतिक अभीष्ट पूरा गर्न पटक-पटक संविधान संशोधन गरे । त्यसपछि क्रमशः बहुमतीय सरकार निर्माण र विघटन हुने घटना घट्दै जाँदा संविधान निर्माण गर्ने अवधिण् त्यसै बित्दै गयो । अहिले संविधानसभा विभाजित रूपमा आफ्नो अन्तिम आयु पूरा गर्ने दिनगन्तीमा छ । अब संविधान सभा र त्यसभित्रका ठूला राजनीतिक दलको वैधता र इमानदारीमा प्रश्नचिह्न उठ्नेछन् भने शान्ति-सम्झौता भंग भएर गृहयुद्धतर्फ मुलुक जाने सम्भावना देखिँदै छ ।
यस्तो भयावह राजनीतिक गतिरोध अन्त्य गर्नलाई देशका सचेत नागरिकले सक्रिय चासो लिनैपर्ने भएको छ । अन्तरिम संविधानमा बहुमतीय प्रणालीमा गएर सरकार निर्माण गर्न गरिएको संशोधनलाई खारेज गरी पुनः सहमति र सहकार्यमा फर्काउनुको विकल्प छैन भन्ने तथ्यलाई शान्ति-सम्झौताका पक्षधरहरूले महसुस गर्नैपर्छ भन्ने विराटनगरको नागरिक समाजको आग्रह छ ।

कतै पढेकी थिएँ, रोमका बादसाह निरो रोम सहर जलिरहँदा आरामसाथ बाँसुरी बजाइरहेका थिए रे ! यतिखेर राजधानी काठमाडौंलगायत सिंगो देश नै आमहडतालको आगोभित्र जलिरहेको छ । भन्नुहोला, आमहडताल शान्तिपूर्ण रूपमा चलिरहेको छ भने देश कसरी र कहाँ जलिरहेको छ ? देश जल्न आगो नै लगाउनुपर्दैन । सहरी क्षेत्रका जनता शान्तिसाथ पेटभरि खान नपाएर मन जलेको अवस्थामा त्रासैत्रासमाझ बाँचिरहेका छन् । ग्रामीण क्षेत्रका जनता समयमै मकै छर्न र छरिसकेको मकै गोड्न नपाएर भित्रभित्रै पिरोलिँदै राजधानीका सडक नापिरहेका छन् ।
यसका लागि आमहडतालकारी माओवादीलाई मात्र दोष दिनु न्यायोचित नहोला । देशमा शान्ति-सुरक्षाको भरपर्दो व्यवस्था गर्ने जिम्मेवारी सरकारको हो । साथै, सहमति र सहकार्यका आधारमा औचित्यपूर्ण वार्ता गरी समस्याको निकास निकाल्नु पनि सरकारकै दायित्व हो ।
निश्चय नै, प्रधानमन्त्रीको राजीनामा मागिने थलो सडक होइन । माओवादी नेतृत्वले पनि यो राम्ररी बुझेको छ । तर, सदनभित्र आवाज नसुनिएपछि उसले सडकमा आफूलाई उतारेको छ । समयमै उचित निकास ननिकाल्ने हो भने यो आमहडताल माओवादी स्वयंका लागि गलाको पासो बन्ने संकेत देखिँदै छ ।
अर्कातिर संविधान निर्माणको घोषित टुंगो निकै नजिक आइसकेको छ । सहमति र सहकार्यविना कसैले पनि संविधान बनाउन र घोषणा गर्न सक्दैन । यसका लागि माओवादीलाई एक्ल्याएर बाँकी २४ दल एक भए भने पनि संविधान लेख्न र घोषणा गर्न सम्भव छैन । त्यसैले, वर्तमान सरकारका लागि सहमतिका आधारमा राष्ट्रिय सरकार गठनको मार्गप्रशस्त गर्नुको विकल्प छैन ।
यतिखेर प्रधानमन्त्री माधवकुमार नेपालको राजीनामाको माग सर्वत्र उठिरहेको छ । उनकै पार्टीभित्र र सडकमा समेत उनको राजीनामा मागिँदै छ । त्यसैले, प्रधानमन्त्रीले राजीनामा दिई सहमतीय राजनीतिको ढोका खोेलिदिनु नै उनका तर्फबाट देश र जनताका लागि अमूल्य उपहार हुन सक्छ । साथै, माओवादीले पनि यो वा त्यो बहानामा लम्ब्याइरहेको आमहडताल तत्काल रोकेर देशलाई मुठभेडको संघारबाट जोगाउनु बुद्धिमानी हो ।

शान्तिपूर्ण आन्दोलन जति चर्काए पनि हुन्छ । तर, आन्दोलन मुठभेडको दिशातिर नजाओस् । चौथो दिनसम्म केही छिटफुटबाहेक मुठभेडका घटना सुन्नुपरेको छैन । यदि मुठभेड भयो भने सर्वसाधारण जनता र कार्यकर्ता सबैले अनाहकमा दुःख झेल्नुपर्नेछ । यतातिर नेतृत्वले वेलैमा सोचोस् ।

माओवादी आन्दोलनको अनर्गल प्रचार गर्दै क्रूर दमनको तयारीमा बसेको माधवकुमार नेपालको सरकार त्यतिवेला तीनछक पर्यो जतिवेला माओवादी आन्दोलन जनताले सोचेभन्दा पनि शान्तिपूर्ण देखियो । आफ्नो पहिलो रणनीति पूर्ण असफल भएपछि आन्दोलनलाई निस्तेज पार्न सरकारले आन्दोलनकारीलाई घर फर्काउने अर्को रणनीति अख्तियार गरेको छ । वैदेशिक रोजगारीका सिलसिलामा विभिन्न मुलुक पुगेका नेपाली युवा अलपत्र परेको समाचार छापामा आउँदा उद्धारको पहलसम्म नगरी कानमा तेल हालेर बस्ने सरकारले माओवादी आन्दोलनलाई निस्तेज पार्न आन्दोलनकारीलाई घर फर्काउने रणनीति अख्तियार गर्नु लज्जास्पद छ ।
विनापैसा एक वर्ष?
उनी एक वर्षसम्म एक पैसा पनि खर्च नगरी बाँचे । यो एक वर्ष आफ्नो जीवनको सबैभन्दा रमाइलो क्ष्ाण बताउँछन् उनी ।
अब पनि एक रुपैयाँ खर्च नगरी जीविका चलाउने उनको योजना छ ।
३० वर्षे मार्क बोयलले विगत १२ महिना एक पैसा पनि खर्च नगरी जीविका चलाएका हुन् । उनी आफैंले फलाएको खाना मात्र खान्छन् । एक पैसा पनि खर्च नगरेर बाँच्दा आफू संसारकै सबैभन्दा खुसी भएको बताए । अबको जीवन पनि एक पैसा खर्च नगरेर बाँच्ने वाचा उनले गरेका छन् ।
उनी जहाँ जाँदा पनि साइकलमा जान्छन् । उनको फोनमा इनकमिङ कलमात्र आउँछ । उनी सोलार प्रयोग गर्छन् । यसैमा तताएको पानीले नुहाउँछन् । कटलफिस उपजातको माछाको हड्डीले उनी दाँत माझ्छन् । उनी आफ्ना लागि आफैं खाना उत्पादन गर्छन् ।
उनी अरूले फालेको लुगा पिसाइकल नामक वेबसाइटका माध्यमबाट प्राप्त गर्छन् ।
आयरल्यान्डमा जन्मिएका बोयलले अर्थशास्त्रमा स्नातक गरेका छन् । उनी पूर्वव्यापारी पनि हुन् । एक पैसा खर्च नगरी बाँचिरहेको आफ्नो अनुभवबारेमा उनी ब्लगमा लेख्छन् । उनीसँग सोलारबाट चल्ने ल्यापटप छ । स्थानीय खेतमा काम गरेबापत उनलाई वि-फाईले सित्तैमा इन्टरनेट चलाउन दिन्छ ।
'पैसा खर्च नगरी बिताएको यो वर्ष जीवनको सबैभन्दा खुसीको समय हो । म आजीवन यसरी नै बाँच्ने छु । पैसाकेन्दि्रत विश्वमा फर्किन्नँ,' उनी भन्छन् ।
पैसाविना बाँच्दा अत्यन्त स्वतन्त्र अनुभव भएको उनी बताउँछन् । 'पैसाविना बाँच्दा थुप्रै चुनाैती छन् तर, बैंक एकाउन्ट, बिल, ट्राफिक जाम, मन नपरेको जागिर खानुपर्ने बाध्यता हुँदैन,' उनी भन्छन् ।
पैसाविना बाँच्दा सबैभन्दा अप्ठ्यारोचाहिँ साथीहरूसँग घुलमिल गर्न समस्या हुने बताउँछन् बोयल ।
'साथीहरूसँग भेट्न पव जानुको सट्टा म क्यामफायर बनाएर, संगीत सुनेर र लामो यात्रामा गएर मनोरन्जन लिन्छु,' उनी भन्छन् ।
अबको २० वर्षमा मानिसहरूले आफ्नो उपभोगवादी प्रवृत्तिबारेमा छलफल गर्ने उनी बताउँछन् ।
'मेरो प्राथमिकता भनेको मानिसले फालेका सामानहरूलाई पुनः प्रयोग गर्नु हो । र, भविष्यका लागि दिगो विकासको आधार बनाउनु हो,' उनी भन्छन्
बेलायती सरकार असमावेशी भएकोमा आलोचना
लन्डन/ नवनिर्वाचित प्रधानमन्त्री डेभिड क्यामरुनको पुरानो प्रशासन कार्यकर्ता, प्रेस र आफ्नै नयाँ संयुक्त सरकारका साझेदारको आलोचनाको पात्र बन्न गएको छ । कन्जर्भेटिभ पार्टी बुढाखाडाको अखडा नभएको बताउने क्यामरुनको मन्त्रिमण्डलमा प्रायः सबै गोरा, पुरुष र उपल्ला वर्गलाई राखिएको छ, त्यसैले उनको आलोचना भएको हो ।
क्यामरुन तथा उनका उपप्रधानमन्त्री लिबरल डेमोक्रेटिकका निक क्लेग दुवै धनाढय परिवारमा हुर्केका र आभिजात्य स्कुलमा पढेका हुन् । २३ सदस्यीय संयुक्त मन्त्रिमण्डलमा बि्रटेनकी पहिलो मुसलमान महिला छन् । तर, तीनजना मात्र अरू महिलालाई समावेश गरिएको छ । तीमध्ये दुईले प्रभाव र शक्तिलाई देखाउने सरकारी विभाग सम्हालेका छन् । २३ मा २२ मन्त्री गोरा छन्, तिनमा पनि १६ त अक्सफोर्ड र क्याम्बि्रज विश्वविद्यालयबाट गएका हुन् ।
क्यामरुनले अल्पसंख्यकको बैरी र गरिबप्रति निरपेक्ष व्यवहार गर्ने सामन्तको सानो क्लबका रूपमा चिनिने कन्जर्भेटिभ पार्टीको छवि सुधार्न प्रयत्न गरिरहेका छन् । उनले धेरैजना अल्पसंख्यक उम्मेदवार उठाएर आफ्नो चुनावी अभियानमा एकतिहाइ वरिष्ठ सरकारी पद महिलालाई दिने वाचा गरेका थिए । वाम पक्षतिर ढल्केको लिबडेमको सहभागिताले पनि सरकारमा विविधता थपिने अपेक्षा गरिएको थियो, तर अब यसमा धक्का पुग्न गएको छ ।
डेलिमिरर नामक टेब्लोइडले भनेको छ, 'क्याबिनेटका काम चमकदार हिलवाला जुत्ता लगाउने ठिटाको जिम्मामा परेको छ ।' एकजना लैंगिक अधिकारवादीले टाइम पत्रिकामा छापिएको आफ्नो चिठ्ठीमा भनेकी छिन्, 'यो एक छलाङ पछि हुत्तिनु हो ।' रेडियो कार्यक्रममा शक्तिको उच्चासनमा आसीन खास डफ्फाबीच महिला र अल्पसंख्यक नदेखिएको गुनासा गरिन्छन् । सत्ताधारी दल लिबडेमका विधायक लिन फिदरस्टोनले वार्तामा बसेर कुरा मिलाउने दुवै पार्टीका 'मेल एन्ड पेल' अर्थात् पुरुष र पहेँलिएका मानिस छन् भनी व्यंग्य गरेका छन् ।
अन्य युरोपेली मुलुकमा उच्च तहमा निकै ठूलो मात्रामा लैंगिक समानता देखिन्छ । नर्वे र स्विडेनका मन्त्रिमण्डलमा आधाभन्दा बढी स्थानमा महिला मन्त्री छन् । जर्मनीको हालको १६ सदस्यीय मन्त्रिमण्डलमा ६ महिला छन् । अस्टि्रयाको १३ उच्चपदस्थ मन्त्रीमध्ये ६ महिला छन् । स्विट्जरल्यान्ड संसद्मा एकतिहाइभन्दा कम संख्यामा भए पनि सात सदस्यीय मन्त्रिमण्डलमा तीन महिला छन् ।
पूर्वप्रधानमन्त्री टोनी ब्लेयरको २००५ को मन्त्रिमण्डलमा ६ महिला थिए भने यसैहप्ता राजीनामा गरेका गोर्डन ब्राउनको टिममा पाँच महिला थिए ।
ब्लेयरको मन्त्रिमण्डलअन्तर्गत विदेश सचिव रहिसकेकी मार्गरेट बेकेटले क्यामरुनको आफ्नो प्रशासनमा महिलालाई बढी स्थान दिने भनाइ उनले गरेको निर्णयसँग मेल नखाएको टिप्पणी गरेकी छिन् । बि्रटेनको कुल जनसंख्याको ८ प्रतिशत अल्पसंख्यक जनजाति छन् र तिनमा भारतीयको संख्या निकै ठूलो छ । त्यसपछि, पाकिस्तानी छन् । पहिलो मुस्लिम महिला मन्त्री सइदा वार्सीलाई कुनै निर्धारित नीति क्षेत्र तोकिएको छैन । कन्जर्भेटिभ पार्टीबाट आएकी वरिष्ठतम महिला तथा गृहमन्त्री थेरेसा मेलाई समानतासम्बन्धी मामला पनि थमाइएको छ ।
विश्लेषकहरूले पार्टीको उपल्लो श्रेणीमा विविधता ल्याउन महिला उम्मेदवारी बढाउने प्रयासलाई प्रेसले क्यामरुनका 'पटरानीलाई भित्र्याउने' चालका रूपमा लिएको बताउँछन् । उनीहरूमा पर्याप्त अनुभवको कमीले गर्दा प्रयास सफल नहुने बताइन्छ । सेफिल्ड विश्वविद्यालयका राजनीतिशास्त्रका प्रोफेसर कोलिन हे प्रधानमन्त्री क्यामरुन र उनका सहयोगी क्लेग दुवै आफ्नो टिममा धेरै महिला तान्न सकिन्थ्यो, तर अति थोरैै महिला मात्र छन् भन्ने कुरामा सचेत भएको बताउँछन् । उनका अनुसार पहिलेको राजनीति लैंगिक विभेदकारी रहेको हुनाले अझै पनि त्यो थोत्रो चलन नगएको हो ।

हत्यापछि कोठामा त्यत्तिकै सुत्न डर लाग्यो । बाहिर निस्केर रक्सी पिएँ । भगवान्को तस्बिर खोजेर सँगै राखेर सुतेँ ।
पैसाको भोक
जुवा खेल्ने लतले मेरो सबै रकम क्यासिनोमा स्वाहा भयो । तर पनि यस्तो बानी रोकिएन । क्यासिनो नेपालमा मात्र एक लाख १२ हजार रुपैयाँ ऋण लिएको थिएँ ।श्रीमती क्यानाडामा छिन् । उनले पनि पैसा पठाउन छाडिन् । त्यसैले पैसा जुटाउने उपायतिर लागे । जेठ ५/६ गते होला दुई छोरीसहित ख्यातिको कोठामा खाना खान गएँ । उनको बुबाले छोरीलाई के पढाउने होला भनेर सल्लाह मागे । कुरै कुरामा पाइलट पढाउने विषयमा कुरा भयो । उनका बुबाले पाइलट पढाउन चाहिने २०/२५ लाख जुटाउन सक्ने कुरा बताए । यो सुनेपछि मैले ख्यातिको अपहरण गरेर उनका बाबुसँग १० लाख असुल्ने योजना बनाएँ ।
एक्लै अपहरण गर्न सक्दिनथेँ । त्यसैले सहयोगी खोज्न थालेँ । यसका लागि मेरिना शाक्य उपयुक्त लाग्यो । र, मैले उनलाई सबै योजना सुनाएँ । त्यस्तै, असार १७ गते मेरिनालाई बोलाएर भ्वाइस अफ ओमेनको बारेमा सबै बताएँ । योजनाअनुसार मेरिना भोउ म्यागेजिनको संवाददाता बनिन् र म कमिटी एड्भाइजर ।मेरिनाले २१ गते ख्यातिलाई फोन गरेर बोलाइन् । ख्यातिले २२ गते पुतलीसडकमा भेट्ने प्रस्ताव गरिन् ।

बागबजारमा रहेको कोरोना इन्टरनेसनल बि्रजकोर्स गर्दै गरेकी मेरिनालाई भेटेँ । र, चिया खाँदै ख्यातिसँग गर्ने कुरा सिकाएँ । पत्रिकाको नक्कली परिचयपत्र र ख्यातिलाई कोठासम्म ल्याउन पाँच सयको नोट दिएँ । एउटा केटाको बाइकको पछाडि ख्याति आइरहेकी थिइन् । मैले टाढैबाट मेरिनालाई चिनाइदिएँ, त्यही हो ख्याति भनेर ।उनीहरू कोठामा आइपुग्नुअगाडि नै म कोठामा पुगिसकेको थिएँ । दुवैजना कोठामा छिरे । ख्यातिले मलाई चिनिहालिन् । 'अंकल तपाइं पनि यहाँ' भनेर सोधिन् । मैले आफू भोउ पत्रिकाको सल्लाहकार भएको बताएँ ।
मैले एनजिट नामकको औषधिको १० वटा ट्याबलेट पिसेर कफीमा हालेर ठीक पारिसकेको थिएँ । त्यसैले कफी खाने प्रस्ताव गरेँ । कफी पिउने क्रममा ख्यातिलाई तीतो लागेछ । औषधि त घोलिएको रहेनछ । कामै गरेन । फेरि म बाहिर निस्केर स्लाइसको बोतलमा १० वटा एनजिट ट्याबलेट हालेँ ।स्लाइस खाएपछि 'अब इन्टरभ्यू दिऊँ' भन्न थालिन् ख्याति । मैले तयार पारेको प्रश्नपत्र दिएँ । बल्ल औषधिले काम गर्न थाल्यो । ख्याति निद्रा लाग्यो भन्न थालिन् । मैले आराम गर भनेर बेड देखाएँ । उनी सुतिन् ।
मैले उनको हात-खुट्टा बाँधे । मुखमा टेप बाँध्न खोज्दा ख्याति त कराउन पो खोजिन् । डर लाग्यो । चिच्याएको सुनिएमा योजना चौपट हुन सक्थ्यो । त्यसैले उनको टाउकोमा पटक-पटक हानेँ । हातले घाँटी र मुखमा थिचेँ । मेरिना सोफामा बसेर सबै हेरिरहेकी थिइन् । उनी 'न गर न बाबा' भन्दै रोक्न आइन् । मैले हुत्याइदिएँ । ख्याति त चलमल गर्न छाडिन् ।
मेरिना घर जान्छु भन्न थालिन् । मैले जान दिइनँ । यहीँ बस भनेँ । 'कतै ख्याति त मरिन ?' भन्दै झकझक्याएँ । कुनै प्रतिक्रिया आएन । डर लाग्यो । कतै योजना बीचैमा तुहिने त होइन ? उनको नाक र मुखमा हात राखेर सास लिएको छ कि छैन हेरेँ । अँ हँ थिएन । नाडी र छाती छामेँ । मुटुको चालसमेत छैन । ख्यातिको सास गइसकेछ ।मेरिना जान्छु कि जान्छु भनेर ढिपी गर्न थालिन् । मैले उनलाई घटनाबारे कसैलाई नभन्नू, भन्यौ भने आमा, बाबा, भाइ सबैलाई मारिदिन्छु भनेर धम्क्याएँ । उनले कसैलाई भन्दिनँ भनिन् । ११ बजे मैले मोटरसाइकलमा राखेर मेरिनालाई घरसम्म छाडिदिएँ । कोठामा एक्लै बस्न मन लागेन । के-के सोचेँ के-के । फेरि, मेरिनाको घर गएँ र, उनलाई ल्याएँ । उनलाई अमेरिकी दूतावासमा पुर्याएँ । पसलबाट प्लास्टिक किनेँ अनि कोठामा आएँ । ख्यातिको सेल-सिम त्यत्तिकै थियो । त्यसलाई आफ्नो मोबाइलमा हालेँ । फोन आयो । मैले 'कौन ख्याति ?' भनेर मोबाइल नै 'अफ' गरेँ ।
लास कसरी तह लगाउने टेन्सन त्यही थियो । मोटरसाइकल झिकेर लास फाल्ने ठाउँ खोज्न हिँडेँ । वनस्थली, स्वयम्भू, डल्लु, क्षेत्रपाटी घुमेँ । यही बीचमा मोबाइल 'अन' गरे । फोन आयो । ख्यातिको दाइ हो भन्यो, कसैले फोनमा । मैले बुबालाई दिनुस् भनेँ । मैले हिन्दीमा 'तुम्हारा बेटी मेरे कब्जेमे है और उसको जिन्दा चाहिए तो १० लाख तयारी रखना' भनेँ । कता जाने ? पुनः कोठामै फर्किएँ । फेरि मेरिनालाई लिन अमेरिकी एम्बेसी गएँ । उनलाई कोठामा ल्याएपछि लास तह लगाउने विषयमा कुरा गरेँ । उनी डराइन् । तन्नामा लास बेरेर कतै लगेर फाल्ने योजना बनाएँ । मेरिनाले सुत्ने कोठाबाट तन्ना ल्याइन् । मैले लास बेरेँ ।लास फाल्न बाहिर निकालेर मोटरसाइकलमा बाँध्न लागेको मात्र थिएँ, घरबेटी आइपुगे । हतार-हतार लास भित्र लगेर राखेर बाहिर हिँडे । बेचैनी बढिरहेको थियो । बालाजु चोकमा पुगेर दुई बोतल हि्वस्की किनेर कोठामा फर्किएँ । टिभी हेर्दै हि्वस्की सिध्याएँ । र, सुतेँ ।

लास हल्का गन्हाउन थालिसकेको थियो । तन्ना र कार्पेटले बेरेर कोठामा त्यत्तिकै राखेको थिएँ । मरेको मान्छेको तौल बढी हुने रहेछ । एक्लै बोक्नै सकिनँ । दोस्रो व्यक्ति कोही थिएन । सोह्रखुट्टे फलफूल चोकमा पुगेर फेरि प्लास्टिक र केही कार्टुनबक्स लिएँ । सामान कोठामा राखेर बाहिर गएँ ।

सिंगो लास टुक्रयाउने योजना बनाएँ । कोठाबाहिर गएर थप दुईवटा कार्टुन बोकेर आएँ । त्यतिखेर नौ बजिसकेको थियो । भान्छामा गएर मासु काट्ने चुप्पी ल्याएँ । धारिलो थियो चुप्पी । पहिला हातको कुहिनाको ज्याइन्टमा काटेर दुवैहात छुट्याएँ । अनि कुमबाट काटेर चार 'पिस' बनाएँ । घुँडा र फिलाको ज्वाइन्टमा काटेर खुट्टा पनि छुट्याएँ । अनि प्लास्टिकमा बेरेर गन्हाउने डरले फ्रिजमा राखेँ । शरीरका बाँकी भागलाई पनि प्लास्टिक र कार्पेर्टले बेरेर राखेँ । धुप बालेँ । अत्तर हालेँ । पंखा चलाएँ ।चार बजेतिर मेरिनालाई लिन बबरमहल गएँ । स्कुलमा गएर छोरीहरू लिएर उनीहरूको मामाघरमा लगेर छाडिदिएँ ।यो हुँदै गर्दा, ख्यातिका परिवारसँग मोबाइलमा कुरा भइरहेको थियो । एसएमएसमार्फत उनीहरूसँग १० लाख मागिरहेको थिएँ । तर, उनीहरू यत्रो पैसा छैन भन्दै थिए । कोठामा त्यत्तिकै सुत्न डर लाग्यो । बाहिर निस्केर रक्सी पिएँ । भगवान्को तस्बिर खोजेर सँगै राखेर सुतेँ ।

बिहान उठेर चिया बनाएर खाएँ । पैसा थिएन साथमा । कोठामा लास थियो । यसो हेरेको ख्यातिको औँलामा सुनको औँठी रहेछ । बालाजुमा रहेको एक सुन पसलमा गएर पैसा भएन यो आैठी राखेर केही पैसा दिनुस् भनेर पच्चीस सय बोकेर आएँ ।बागबजार गएर मेरिनालाई लिएर कोठामा आएँ । लास बैठक कोठामा थियो । लास अरू गन्हाउन थाल्यो । लासको गन्ध भगाउन धुप बालेर पंखा चलाइदिएँ । लासलाई धोयो भने गन्हाउँदैन कि भनेर टाउकोसहितको जिउलाई ट्वाइलेटमा लगेर साबुन-पानीले धोएँ । कोठामा पानी थिएन । त्यसैले लास धुन मेरिनाले बाहिर पम्पबाट पानी ल्याइन् । चक्कुले टाउको छुट्याएर प्याक गर्न थालेँ । मेरिनाले प्लास्टिक समातेर सहयोग गरेकी थिइन् । टाउको साबुन-पानीले पखालेर प्लास्टिकले बेरेर फ्रिजमा हालेँ । अनि जिउलाई कार्पेटले बेरेर राखेँ । मेरिनालाई घरमा लगेर छाडिदिएँ ।

बिहानै चार बजेतिरै निद्रा खुल्यो । लास गन्हाइरहेको थियो । आज त जसरी पनि लास तह लगाउनु थियो नै । नत्र लास गन्हाएर अरूले थाहा पाउने डर बढिरहेको थियो । आज जसरी पनि लास फाल्छु भनेर ट्याक्सी खोज्न निस्किएँ ।सोह्रखुट्टेमा ट्याक्सी फेला पारेँ । कोठामा सामान छ भनेर ड्राइभरलाई कोठाबाहिरसम्म ल्याएर लास राखेको बोरा बोकेर बाहिर आएँ । त्यसवेला बिहानको ६ बजेको थियो होला । बोरा ट्याक्सीको पछाडिको सिटमा राखेर म ड्राइभरसँगै बसँे । कहाँ जाने पत्तो थिएन । विष्णुमती खोलानजिक, कालीमाटी हुँदै बल्खु निस्किएँ । नख्खु भैंसेपाटी हुदै कार्यविनायकतिर गएँ । कार्यविनायक पुग्नुअगाडि नै ट्याक्सीबाट ओर्लिएँ । अनि डिलमा गएर उभिएँ । यसो हेरेको खोंच रहेछ । लास फाल्न त्यही ठाउँ सुरक्षित हुन्छजस्तो लाग्यो अनि डिलमा पुगेर बोरा झुन्ड्याउन बाँधेको डोरी फुकाई गिँड डिलबाट खसाले ।
मनमा बेचैनी बढिरहेको थियो । त्यसैले विनायकको मन्दिर गएर गणेश भगवान्को दर्शन गरे । मिनीबस चढेर कोठामा आएँ । गिंड त तह लाग्यो । हात-खुट्टा र टाउको के गर्ने होला ? फ्रिजमा राखे पनि गन्ध आइरहेको थियो । हात-खुट्टाको टुक्रालाई झिकेर ट्वाइलेटमा लगेर साबुनपानीले धोएँ, अनि कपडाले राम्ररी पुछेर अर्को प्लास्टिकमा पोको पारेर काटुर्नमा हालेँ ।कतै गन्हाउला कि भनेर कार्टुनमा राख्नुअगाडि कार्टुनभित्र प्लास्टिक राखेर सेन्ट छरे । हातखुट्टा र टाउको छुट्टाछुट्टै कार्टुनमा हालेर कार्टुनटेप लगाएर प्याक गरे । कार्टुन झुन्ड्याउन मिल्नेगरी डोरी बाँधेको थिएँ । आज त जसरी पनि फाल्नैपर्छ । त्यसैले कार्टुन बोकेर हिँडेँ म । कलंकी आइपुगे । त्यसवेला माओवादीले १० बजेदेखि १२ बजेसम्म चक्काजाम गरेको थियो । त्यसैले हतार-हतार नारायणघाट जाने माइक्रो चढँे । हातखुट्टा भएको कार्टुन माइक्रोको छतमा राखेँ ।
कहाँ पुगेर ओर्लिने पत्तो थिएन । माइक्रोको झ्यालबाट बाहिर हेर्दै हिँडे । मुग्लिनबाट केही तल ओर्लिएँ । म ओर्लिएको स्थान मुग्लिनदेखि २० किलोमिटर पर होला । सडकको छेउमा गएँ । कार्टुन खोलातिरको झ्याङमा फालिदिएँ ।अब काठमाडौं र्फकनैपर्यो । एउटा मोटरसाइकल आइरहेको रहेछ । रोकेर लिप\mट मागेँ । र, मुग्लिनसम्म आएँ । पोखरातिरबाट आएको माइक्रो चढेर काठमाडौं आएँ । ख्यातिको परिवारलाई एसएमएस गरेर पैसा मागेँ ।
फिरौतीको लोभ

आज जसरी पनि टाउको फाल्नु थियो । प्लास्टिकमा पोको पारेर कार्टुनमा राखेर चामलको बोरामा टाउको हालेँ । कार्टुन बोकेर बालाजु बसपार्क पुगँे । रानीपौवा जाने गाडीमा चढेर मुड्कु चौकीनजिकै गाडीबाट ओर्लिएँ । मुड्कु चौकी नपुग्दै सडक-किनारदेखि तल जंगलमा बोराबाट टाउको निकालेर प\mयाँकिदिएँ ।धेरै राहत महसुस भयो । सबै लास फालियो । हल्का महसुस गर्दै कोठामा फर्किएँ । लास काट्न प्रयोग गरेको चुप्पीमा बोसो नगएकाले ग्यास गिजरको तातोपानीले चक्कु धोएँ । ख्यातिको जिउको बाँकी रहेको टुक्रा कपडा प्लास्टिकमा पोको पारी विजेश्वरी खोलामा लगी फ्याँकिदिएँ । ख्यातिको परिवारलाई एसएमएस गरेर पैसा माग्ने क्रम जारी थियो ।
व्यवस्थापन सकिएपछि

लास व्यवस्थापनको काम सकिएपछि ढुक्क भएर ख्यातिको परिवारसँग पैसा उठाउनतिर लागे । कहिले फोन गथें, कहिले एसएमएस । प्रायः हिन्दीमा कुराकानी गर्थें म । 'लडकी जिन्दा चाहिए तो पैसा दो' भन्थेँ । तर, कुरा मिलिरहेको थिएन ।
पक्राउ परिने डर थियो

एकै ठाउँमा बसेर फोन र एसएमएस गर्दा पक्राउ परिने डर बढ्यो । ठाउँ 'चेन्ज' गरी-गरी फोन र एसएमएस गरेँ । फिरौतीका लागि कुरा मिल्यो । उनीहरू दस लाख दिन तयार भए । तर, अब रकम कसरी लिने ? आफैँ लिन जाऊँ भने चिनिहाल्छन् । अर्को कोही थिएन । उनीहरूसँग कहिले भैरहवा र कहिले सुनौलीमा पैसा लिने कुरा गरे । पछि काँकडभिट्टामा पैसा लिने कुरामा सहमति भयो ।
सुरु भयो नाटक

काँकडभिट्टामा रकम लिन जानुअगाडि अर्को नाटक रचेँ । ख्यातिको घरमा फोन गरेर आफ्नो एकजना आफन्तको छोरी पनि अपहरणमा परेको र सोही समूहले ख्यातिको अपहरण गरेको नाटक गरेर अपहरणकारीले 'तपाइंहरूको नम्बर दिएर ख्यातिका लागि तिर्ने फिरौती सँगै लिएर आउनू भनेको छ' भने । मैले आफ्नो नाम राजेन्द्र मानन्धर भएको बताएँ ।फेरि नाम फेरेर प्रमोद सिंह बनेँ । अनि ख्यातिलाई पुतलीसडकमा पुर्याउन आउने बिक्कीलाई काँकडभिट्टा पठाउनू भनेँ । मृतकका एक आफन्त एक्लै काँकडभिट्टा गएछन् । मैले पक्राउ परिने डरले रकम ल्याउँदा कुनै पनि बैंकको ट्याग नभएको र सिरियल नम्बर नमिलेको पैसा ल्याउनू भनेको थिएँ ।ती आफन्त रात्रिबस चढेर काँकडभिट्टा लागेपछि राजेन्द्र मानन्धर बनेर मैले फोन गरी 'भाइ म राजेन्द्र मानन्धर बोलेको, तपाइंको नम्बर मलाई प्रमोद सिंहले दिएको हो । उसले तपाईं र म काँकडभिट्टामा सँगै बस्नू भनेको छ' भनेँ ।
असफल पहिलो प्रयास

ती आफन्त बिहान काँकडभिट्टा पुगेछन् । उनले मलाई एसएमएस गरेर आफू आसाम होटलमा बसेको बताए । मैले काठमाडौंमा मेरिनालाई पहिला नै तीनवटा एसएमएस लेखेर छाडेको थिएँ । उनले मेरो योजनाअनुसार नै ती आफन्तको मोबाइलमा काठमाडौंबाट एसएमएस पठाइदिइन् ।मैले आसाम होटलनजिकैको एक पसलमा बसेर कोक खाएँ । त्यहीँबाट राजेन्द्र बनेर आसाम होटलमा बसेका ख्यातिका आफन्तलाई फोन गरेर सिलिगुढी बोलाएँ । ती आफन्तको हुलिया कस्तो छ, मलाई थाहा थिएन । होटलमा सोधखोज गर्दा पनि थाहा भएन । रेस्टुरेन्टमा बसेको एक व्यक्ति ख्यातिका आफन्त हुन् कि जस्तो लागेकाले उनको नजिक गएर घर सोधेँ । उसले आफ्नो घर काँकडभिट्टा बतायो ।
मसँग भारतीय सिम थियो । त्यसैबाट फोन गरेर राजेन्द्रको नाम लिएर ती आफन्तलाई 'डिलका लागि सिलिगुढी हुँदै दार्जिलिङ जानुपर्ने भयो' भने । मैले आसाम होटलमा आएर खोज्दा भेट भएन पनि भनेँ । उसले त ख्यातिको मोबाइलबाट प्रमोद सिंहले फोन नगरेसम्म आफू कतै नजाने बताए । मैले प्रमोद सिंहले भनेकाले म आएको भनेँ, तर उसले पत्याएन । पब्लिकबुथबाट काठमाडौंमा फोन गरेर प्रमोद बन्दै तपाईंको मान्छेलाई राजेन्द्रले जे भन्छ त्यही मान्नू भने । तर, ती आफन्त डराएछन् । उनी काँकडभिट्टाबाट विराटनगर हुँदै काठमाडौं भागे । योजना असफल भयो । म पनि बेलुकातिर नाइटबसमा काठमाडौं आएँ ।
बाटोमा भेटिए सहयोगी

नौ बजेतिर नागढुंगा आइपुगेँ । उपत्यका बन्द पो रहेछ । अब हिँड्नुको विकल्प थिएन । बाटोमा हिँड्दै आउँदा प्रकाश गुरुङ नामको अन्दाजी २५ वर्षको व्यक्तिसँग चिनजान भयो । ऊ भारत खर्साङनिवासी रहेछ । मैले उसलाई फिरौती उठाउने काममा लगाउने योजना बनाएँ । मेरो एउटा सुटकेस रिसिभ गरिदिएबापत ५० हजार दिन्छु भनेको ऊ तत्काल सहमत भयो ।मेरिनासँग भेट नभएको धेरै भएको थियो । त्यसैले मध्याह्नतिर वनस्थलीनजिक ढुंगेधारामा उनलाई बोलाएँ । उनीसँग ख्यातिको सिमकार्ड थियो । त्यो लिएँ । आठ बजेतिर ख्यातिको सिम प्रयोग गरेर उनका आफन्तलाई फोन गरेँ र, ३ गते काँकडभिट्टामा आउनू भनेँ । कतै नआउने पो हुन् कि जस्तो लागेर- यो अन्तिम अवसर हो यसपटक गडबड भयो भने अर्को चान्स दिन्नँ भनेर धम्क्याएँ ।
काठमाडौं टु सिलिगुढी

एक बजेतिर प्रकाशसँग भेट गरेँ । उसलाई भेटेर पैसा लिनेबारे सम्झाएँ । ख्यातिको आमालाई फोन गरेँ र, घरमा काम गर्ने केटा 'राम'लाई लिएर आउनू भने । अनि प्रकाशलाई लिएर पाँच बजेको टिकट काटेर काँकडभिट्टा हिँड्यौँ । उनीहरू पनि बेलुका नै बस चढेर काँकडभिट्टा हिँडेको जानकारी पाएँ ।

ख्यातिको आमा र राम बिहान काँकडभिट्टा पुगेर उही आसाम लजमा बसेका रहेछन् । हामी १० बजेतिर पुग्यौँ । प्रकाशलाई सुब्बा होटलमा राखेँ । म लुम्बिनी होटलमा बसेँ । आसाम होटलमा ख्यातिकी आमा छन् कि छैनन् भनेर बुझ्न गएँ । होटल पुगेको एक/डेढ घन्टापछि ख्यातिकी आमा चिया खान तल ओर्लिइन् । ख्यातिकी आमा टेबुलमा बसिरहेकी थिइन् । चिन्लान् कि भनेर मैले कालोटोपी र चस्मा लगाएको थिएँ । मैले घोप्टो परेर चाउमिन मागे । होटलमा चाउमिन छैन भनेपछि म बाहिरिएँ । केही समयपछि ख्यातिको मोबाइलबाट उनकोे आमालाई फोन गरेर हिन्दीमा किन बाहिर निस्केको भने । उनले म कोठामै छु भनिन् । ठीक छ खाना खाए हुन्छ भनेँ । मलाई होटलवरिपरि पुलिसहरू छन् कि जस्तो शंका लागेर होटल परिवर्तन गर्न भनेँ ।
ख्यातिकी आमाले अर्को होटलमा गएर फोन गरिन् । मैले सिलिगुढीमा आएर पैसा दिनू भने । मैले काम गर्ने केटालाई लजमा छाडेर एक्लै आउनू भने । १२ बजेतिर आमा पैसा लिएर एक्लै हिँडिन् । म पुग्नुअगाडि नै आमा हिँडिसकिछन् । मैले फोन गरेर किन नबसेको, काठमाडौं जानुस् उतै डिल हुन्छ भने ।ख्यातिको फोनबाट काठमाडांैमा रहेका ख्यातिका आफन्तलाई फोन गरेर दिउँसो तीन बजेतिर रामलाई काँकडभिट्टाको बसपार्क पठाउन भने । राम लजबाट बाहिर निस्केर सडकमा हिँडिरहेको थियो । मैले प्रकाशलाई फोन गरेर अप्सरा होटलमा बस्नू भने । हात हल्लाएर बोलाएँ र रामलाई लिएर सिलगुढी हिँडेँ ।
रामले डराएर मलाई नै पैसा दियो । राखभन्दा मानेन । अनि उसलाई लिएर सिलिगुढीतिर गएँ । सिलिगुढीको अप्सरा होटलमा प्रकाश बसेको थियो । ऊ बाहिर निस्केर पैसा लियो । त्यहाँ १५ मिनेट बसेपछि राम डरायो । ऊ काँकडभिट्टा जान्छु भनेर हिँड्यो । मेडिकल चोक आइपुगेपछि ऊ बेपत्ता भयो । म पनि काँकडभिट्टा फर्किएर लुम्बिनी होटलमा बसँे । ख्यातिकी आमालाई फोन गरेर पानीट्यांकीमा छोरी लिन बोलाएँ । तर, म गइनँ । उनी आएर दुई घन्टाजति बसेर हिँडिछन् ।

बिहानै ख्यातिकी आमाले फोन गरेर छोरी र राम खोइ भनेर सोधिन् । मैले दुवैजना मसँगै छन् भने । मेरी छोरी कहिले आउँछे भनेर सोध्दै थिइन् । मैले भोलि बिहान छाडिदिन्छु भनेँ र, विराटनगरको एयरपोर्टमा छोरी लिन आउनू भनेँ ।बिहानै प्रकाशलाई भेटे । उसले पैसा माग्यो । मैले अझै काम भएको छैन, त्यो काम गर्ने केटालाई खोज भने । ऊ रिक्सामा चढेर काम गर्ने केटालाई खोज्न गयो । तर, राम भेटिएन । उसले पटक-पटक पैसा मागेपछि ५० हजार दिएँ । पाँच बजेतिर काँकडभिट्टाबाट काठमाडौं आउने बसमा नाम फेरेर रामशरण मानन्धर र ठेगाना वीरगन्ज लेखाएर टिकट काटँे ।

बिहानै ख्यातिकी आमाले आफू एयरपोर्टमा छु भनेर फोन गरिन् । बाटोमा गाडी बिगि्रएकाले ढिलो हुने भयो, भारतीय नम्बर प्लेटको गाडीमा आइरहेका छौँ भनेर ढाँटेँ । मैले नाम ढाँटेर प्रमोद सिंह भन्दै एयरपोर्ट आइपुग्न तीन घन्टाजति लाग्ने एसएमएस पठाएँ । एक बजेतिर काठमाडौं आइपुगेँ । कोठामा पुगेर नुहाएँ । कोठाको ल्यान्डलाइन फोनबाट सोल्टी क्यासिनोको कर्मचारीलाई बालाजु चोकमा पैसा लिन आउनू भनँे । ख्यातिको परिवारसँग लिएको रकमबाट ९४ हजार ऋण तिरेँ ।

बिहानै उठेर पशुपतिनाथ दर्शन गर्न गएँ । छोरीले इकु फिल्म हेर्नुपर्यो भनिरहेकी थिई । पशुपति दर्शन सकेर फिल्मको टिकट लिन गोपीकृष्ण हलमा गएर इकुको दुईवटा टिकट काटे । टिकट बोकेर म ससुराली गएँ । त्यस्तै, साढे नौ बजेतिर सोह्रखुट्टेमा रहेको पान पसलमा पान खान गएँ । पान खाएर फर्कंदै थिएँ, ट्राफिक प्रहरीले रोक्यो र लाइसेन्स माग्यो । मैले लाइसेन्स झिकेर देखाउनासाथ केही व्यक्तिले पक्राउ गरे । ती प्रहरी रहेछन् ।

The Penthouse Suite, The Martinez Hotel, CannesNightly Rate: $18,000This is the biggest, most expensive, and the only terraced penthouse suite on the Cote d’Azur. Both of the two suites has a Jacuzzi, plasma screen televisions, DVD library, kitchen, open bar, private butler on call 24/7 (ditto for a limousine), and an option to join both suites into one big apartment. The luxury has no limit here – the design is kept in the Art Deco style, with streamlined furniture, silk curtains and teak parquet floors. The wraparound terrace is 2,000 square feet with the views of the Lerins Islands as well as the entire Bay of Cannes and can comfortably hold 100 people. One Saudi sheik liked the suite so much he wanted to rent it for five years. The hotel said no. What else can you say? Tres magnifique!       9. The furnishings are in a Classic Russian Imperial style. The 2,500 square-foot suite comes with a spacious living room, dining area, library, office room and boardroom, grand piano, and heated floor. You will get to enjoy five meals a day and their very own KGB-approved autonomous energy supply system and secure telecommunications array.      8. Royal Suite, Burj Al Arab, DubaiNightly Rate: $19.000The two-story, 8,400-square- foot suite features views over the Arabian sea, marble flooring, a rotating four-poster bed in the master bedroom, dining area, and a private cinema and elevator between the split-level rooms. We can make a guess that most of the price is paid for the location of the suite. Forbes reports the suite has hosted guests including Oprah, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, and Bill Gates. The suite has 10 rooms that are decorated in black, red and gold (including a 22-karat gold chandelier in the dining room). The living room is a 1,250-square- foot room with grand piano and twin entertainment centers. The master bedroom has a sitting area, his-and-hers closets so large that you can park your car there, and hand-painted linens. The kitchen also has its own entrance, so a permanent staff of seven, including a butler and a cook can access the rooms without bothering you.     5. The entire suite was just remodeled in 1998 for a cost of around $7 million. Pei, Peter Marino and hotel owner Ty Warner. The nine-room suite has walls inlaid with mother of pearl, gold and platinum-woven fabrics. The suite is located on the 52nd floor of New York’s tallest hotel with floor-to-ceiling bay windows offering a breathtaking 360 degree view of the City. If that is not relaxing enough you can enjoy a waterfall in the Zen Room, play the grand piano in the library or soak in a tub overlooking Central Park. Full spa treatments, a personal trainer and a 24/7 butler are all included, and if you still find a will to leave, you can choose to be chauffeured in a Rolls Royce or Maybach, and you’re always guaranteed a table at the hotel’s renowned L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon restaurant.      2.
